Is it possible to add a second wall return?  Have a 27' above ground with only one return.  I believe I would have better circulation with two.

Hi JoyceN,

Yes, you could add a second wall return. You would need to purchase additional hose / pipe for the second return and a Tee as well as an SP1023G Wall Return and a Pool Eyeball Fitting. I would also suggest a 3-way valve in your plumbing so if you ever wanted to turn off one of the returns you could do so, if you went this route you would not need a Tee.

Another thing to consider is that you will need to cut a hole in the wall of your pool and the liner for the additional return. If you need more details on how to do this let us know and we can walk you through the process.

Thank You

Hi there,

i see this is a old post but i am wanting also add a second return to my above ground pool, that i have in the ground, the shop where i got it says they wont tell me how to cut the steel ring as it will make the wall weak, the ring is surounded by 50mm foam and then 6 inches of cement so i cant see it being weak. as you can see i have the return comming over the top

thanks Aladdin

Hello Aladdin - You shouldn't have a problem with the wall if you add a second return. This has been done by many homeowners when they move the skimmer, add a return, or add a light.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to prevent metal filings from falling when cutting a hole.
