I am in the process of having my pool resurfaced and realized the light is not working and the trim ring is rusty/coroded.  I would like to replace it with a like item but unsure what that would be.  The existing light is a Purex model 100-5.  The label says to use it with housing number 425.  It is 500w.

I dont think  I need to replace the housing, just the lamp and cord.  What would be a suitable replacement?  It is my understanding that Purex is no longer in business.  I would like something simple.  Incadencent is fine but could be talked into an LED bulb.  Not interested in colors, remotes, etc..

Thanks!

Digging into it, it looks like the Pentair EC-602128 is a fine candidate.

You are correct. The Pentair Amerlite EC-602128 would be a suitable replacement for a Purex pool light fixture.
