New pool liner keeps coming out of track in multiple locations

We had a new pool liner installed in our inground pool at the end of last summer and then the pool was closed. We opened the pool in late May 2016. Almost immediately, the liner came out of the track in three diffferent places. I was told by the fellow who was sent by the installer that there is dirt in the track. He basically told me that the fellow from their conpany who installed the liner does not do a very good job and that they are having lots of problems with liners. This fellow did put the liner back in the track and put in a lock (a plastic strip) in one of the spots. I am really annoyed that I spent $2500 and the liner keeps slipping off the track. I am also annoyed that now there is an obvious "repair" to the liner with this strip of plastic. Should a newly installed liner be slipping off the track in multiple places?  Am I overreacting? Since I know (most likely) that there is dirt all around the track, is it reasonable for me to ask the company to empty the pool and fix the track/liner at the end of the summer at no cost to me?  I was told that if water gets behind the liner that I will have bigger problems. I am thinking the liner will continue to come off the track as the summer goes on. I do not want to be unreasonable but it does seem to me that I am entitled to have the liner "poperly" installed and not simply to have it fixed here and there with plastic strips. Thanks.

Hi Debcesq,

I definitely think it is reasonable to request that the company come back out after the season and clean the track and re-install the liner. The liner should not be popping out of the track. I would definitely reach back out the installer and demand this.
