leaky pump/motor

Order 1287598 to rebuild order 920967

Pump leaks only when in operation, so I'm assuming it has something to do with the seal Behind the impeller. 

There's a steady stream of water running out of the bottom of the pump, between the motor and the large lock ring/nut that holds the motor & impeller unit to the pump housing itself.  Stream stops when the motor is turned off.

Help, please

Hi Rob, have you already installed the new motor and the Tune-Up Kit?  It is possible that the motor shaft seal might not be installed correctly - take a look at our guide on How to Replace a Pool Motor Shaft Seal to verify the installation.
