Guys,
I have a DE filter system and just had a Rheem heat pump installed. I have 2 questions. 1. Before the heat pump was installed I had a PSI on the filter of 12-16 (with DE added) once the heat pump was installed it jumped to 25-28 PSI. I removed the filters and rinsed them, then reinstalled. Once I reinstalled (Before any DE was added I was reading 22-24 PSI once the DE was added it climbed to 25 or 27 PSI. I am wondering if that sizable jump in PSI is justified when adding a heat pump? Q2: the water running through the lines of the heat pump is noisy. I was wondering if that is normal. The filter has 1 1/2" discharge and then increases to 2" for the heat pump then drops back down to 1 1/2" just before the salt cell. Again is this noise normal? The pool pump is 1.5 HP. Any help would be great. thank you
