Hi All,

I am new to this page and was hoping to get some input from all the knowlegable people here.

I am wondering why pool construciton in southern CA seems to be sio pricey.

I received 2 quotes on a new build and they seemd extremely expensive.

The pool is rectangular, half of it is 13X15 and a seocnd section juts out an additional 5 feet making it 18X15 in the largest section.

We wanted a spa as well 7X7 or 8X8

No real hardscaping needed. We did need a slight raised wall on 2 sides of the pool, maybe 2 or 3 feet.

1 guy had pictures on his phone and said it would be about $75k with no decking.

the other company said about $90K including decking.

I was looking through examples here and couldnt find much exceeding $50K

Its hard to find people to even come out and give estimates.

I was hoping someone here may have a good recomendation on how to proceed with a new build while trying to keep the budget decetly low. or an actual contact would be helpful too.

Thanks in advance for any input.
