Pump and/or Impeller Problem

I have an inground pool, approximately 20,000 gallons.  Haven't used it for 3-4 years.  Tried to start it and the pump would turn on but would not pull water.  Took the pump to a pool store and they said it sounded like the bearings.  As they did not carry or service the pump I ordered one from you.  The pump is a Century, CAT# B2848, 1 HP.  I installed the new pump and it turns on and spins but still does not pull any water.  I'm at a loss where to go from here.  Could the problem be the impeller and, if so, where would I get one?

Additional information.  I had the original pump/impeller combination worked on before by a person who worked on pool motors.  I cannot recall if the 1 HP is the original HP or if it should take higher one.  I'm assuming that the original was 1 HP because the pump fits exactly into the current housing.  Yes, the set up worked after I received it back.  It stopped working about 3 years ago and I ordered a new pump from your store (just saw my old order).  Obviously it didn't get me going and I just shut down the pool (on kids at home anymore) until now.  Selling the house and have to get the pool running again.  Any help would be appreciated.
