I've designed two electric pool heaters that work for smaller aboveground pools.
1. 120V/15A - good for pols about 12feetx3.5 feet
2. 240V/30A - good for all pool sizes up to about 18 feet X4 feet
both are cord connected and have built in GFCI and other safety protection. The smaller one is about $150 USD and the bigger one is about $250USD
The design and prototype are complete and i am interested in your feeeback about interest in the product. I am looking to sell them on Amazon and Walmart and Candaian Tire in Canada.
