Hello MarkBa - The AO Smith B855 would require (1) 304 bearing and (1) 203 bearing.

The motor I have now is 8 years old. I am starting to think, I would rather put $50 towards a new motor instead of bearings.
I will go with an AO Smith B855 again. Which gasket kit should I buy for this? The pump is a WhisperFlow WF-28.

The gasket kit for the Pentair Whisperflo would be GOKIT32 for regular water or GOKIT32SALT for salt pools.
The kits include the following:
- Shaft Seal
- Impeller O-Ring
- Seal Plate O-ring
- Diffuser O-ring
- Lubricant

I would agree for the additional money I think it would be worth getting a brand new motor, not to mention the installation of a new motor is way easier than the process of replacing the bearings on an old motor. Here is our Video on How to Replace a Pool Motor which you may find helpful.
