Wrong size pool liner?

Hi! In brief -

We had an above ground pool. We needed a new liner.  I leaned over the top of the deck that surrounds our pool and measured from the top of the interior wall (under the cap) to the sand (perhaps called the "cove").  It measured 48". I ordered a 48" unibead liner on Amazon. Very long story short, after the new pool liner was ordered we ended up ruining a wall panel and track and the only solution was to buy a new pool. When we removed the broken panel, we measured that section of the wall and it measured 52".  We purchased a new 52" pool from INYO.

The previously ordered Amazon pool liner has now arrived.  It's still in the box. I am assuming that I need a 52" liner for a 52" pool.  But, I'm crossing my fingers that we can use that 48" liner and I don't have to pay to ship that giant package back.

Can I?  Does the sand build up along the base of the interior wall change the measurements?  Thanks!

Hi BKingham,

I wish I had better news but if the pool wall is 52" then you will not be able to use the 48" liner, the wall measurements for the liner does take the cove into account. If you use the 48" liner then the liner will pull off of the wall, you also will have a lot of stress on the bottom floor seam where the liner wall and floor meet which will cause this seam to fail.
