I need help with securing/wind proofing a cover on an 18’ SOFT SIDED above ground pool! There are many ideas and implements for the frame supported above ground pools, that do not apply to my pool type! My current cover secures under the inflated top ring via a pull string. It’s been impossible to pull the string through tight enough to keep the wind from pulling the cover off...

There are grommets around the edge of the cover. You could tie a rope to the grommet and then anchor the rope into the ground. I'd recommend a corkscrew style anchor.
