Thank you for contacting Inyo.

1. The winter position keeps the valve in a half-cocked position. This allows water to drain from the valve when the filter is winterized.

2. A whirlpool can occur if the water level is low. Make sure the water level is halfway up the skimmer door opening. If that is not the issue, you can try moving the position of the return/inlet. You can also try an eyeball with a larger hole. This will reduce the velocity from the return jet.

Thanks and appreciate and am kindly request to clear to me the upcoming inquiries :
1. what is the whirlpool position at the filter

2. what is the main effect would happen due to high or low PH percentage at my pool

1. The whirlpool position on the filter valve is used to bypass the filter an recirculate the water. This could be used if there was an issue with the filter. It would allow you to still recirculate the water. Also, this feature can be used if you are doing stain treatment and want to bypass the filter.

2. High pH will impact the effectiveness of chlorine. It will also bother swimmers eyes and make them red. Low pH can cause the water to be very corrosive. It can damage the heater, pump, metal ladders, and the surface of the pool. Low pH will also bother eyes.
