stains on walls

hi, i have a marcite finish pool that was resurfaced in 2005. what is the best way to get and keep the stains off of the walls? i have tried various products that dont seem to work. thanks

Hi raff139,

The first thing you need to do is determine what type of stain you have, this is very important. Pool stains can be broken into two types of stains organic or metal stains. First test to see if the stain is organic you do this by taking a chlorine tablet and rubbing the stain, if it lightens up then it is an organic stain and the stain can be treated with chlorine.

If the chlorine does not lighten up the stain then you have a metal stain and you need to determine what type of metal stain you have. You will need the Jacks Magic Stain ID Kit to determine what type of metal stain you have, once you identify the type of metal stain you have we then can prescribe the proper course of action to remove.
