I need to replace my slotted tube connectors on my 21 ft round Tarpon above ground pool.  I purchased it in 2013.  It has resin rails, aluminum walls and resin uprights.  The only thing that could rust, the slotted tube connectors, is rusting.  I would like to replace them with a resin connector if possible.

Hi Jeffrey,

Could you post a few photos of your pool to this thread.

  • One which is a wide shot of the pool showing the wall pattern
  • A close up shot of the top cap
  • A close up shot of the top plate
  • A close up shot of the top rail

Also, can you find any part #'s embossed into the pvc top caps and metal top? Many times the part # is on the underside of the top cap. All this information will help us find the correct replacement parts for you.

Thank You

Patrick

Attached are the requested photos.  Sorry about the size.  Part # on the caps are 22732 and 22734.  If I could get the top plates as well in resin or aluminum I'd like to change them as I see some rust forming.  The pool is a 21 ft Tarpon.  Thanks for your help.

Patrick,  Thanks for the info.  Do they make these connectors in a resin?  I have steel now and they didn't last 3 years.  Also, I am interested in the top plates if they are in a resin or aluminum.

Thanks.

Hi Jeffrey,

I heard back on this and there is not a resin connector that will work on your pool you would need to go with the steel ones I suggested earlier in this post.

Thanks Patrick.  I will order those now.  Do you think if I paint them they would last longer?

Hi Jeffrey,

Thank you for the order! I have had customers use this Rustoleum Gold Galvanizing Spray with good luck, you might want to give it a shot.

Thank You
