I have a Jandy Stealth pump that is 15 years old. It originally had a 3/4 hp motor but when I changed it out 3 years ago I went with 1 hp. What motor (var. sp) would I need to replace it with. or age considered, would I be better off replacing the whole unit?

What is the model number of your Jandy Stealth pump? This will help determine the correct replacement motor.

I don't know what the model # is. The tag is a sticker of sorts and faded pretty bad. I got a partial SN: G04EJ0213 and a JHP.75, nothing else. The pump was installed with pool 2005. Thanks........Billy

The variable-speed motor would be model ECM16CU. We'd also recommend replacing the pump seals if you replace the motor. The seal kit is GOKIT77.

I have another question concerning a vs pump motor: Since my current pump and SWG are wired to my intermatic timer, but the VS motor has an internal timer, would the VS be like "plug n play," meaning, just wire the pump to the existing wires? If not how would the SWG sync time with the pump?....................Billy

The ECM16CU does not have a built-in time clock. It would need to be wired to the existing timer. You could use the same wires from the single speed pump and not have to change anything at the timer.
