I have a Sta-Rite Pre-1998 pump (P2RA5D-120L, 3/4hp).  After disassembly, I see that the copper insert, J3-2, is gone.  Can I use my current seal plate, C103-137P1, with the shaft seal, PSR-200, and eliminate the insert?  I actually have GOKIT6 on hand, which means I have the PSR-100 shaft seal instead of the PSR-200.

I want to essentially eliminate the need for the insert.  So if the answer to my question above is yes, then I will need to obtain a shaft seal, PSR-200.  Please let me know, thank you.

Yes. With the copper insert removed, you can use the existing seal plate and the PSR-200 shaft seal. Click Here to View the PSR-200 Shaft Seal
