Replastering

We recently had our gunite pool "replastered" using Wet Edge.  Just a word of warning to anyone contemplating this process, the pool really is beautiful after the process was complete but that beauty comes at a price: every moving part in our pool was either damaged or destroyed by the aggregate carryover from the process.  We lost the filter pump (destroyed the impeller and mechanical seal), multiport valve (the valve had to be pried apart) and now the valve plate is torn up, almost all the floor jets were cemented shut and need to be replaced.  I found aggregate granules in the salt cell which makes me think that some of the DE grids are now damaged as well.

if you choose to go with this product, add at least 30 percent to the quoted price to cover damage to your equipment.

Thank you for the feedback. For those who are not familiar with Wet Edge, here is a video from the manufacturer.
