Replacement Pump Motor

We just bought a house and have a Sta-Rite MPRA6E-147L motor on our pool thats sounds awful.  It is leaking water and the sound is varying from normal to slow and has a few clicks when it slows down.  I think it was installed in 2008.  The rest of the pool equipment appears to be in good condition.  What would I need to replace just the motor?  I've never pulled pool pumps apart before, but it does not appear to be rocket science (but I could be wrong!).

Thanks, Brian

Hi BrianH,

Thanks for the photo that really helps out! You will need this 1 HP Replacement Motor and this StaRite Seal Kit We also have a Video on How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor which will walk you through the process of the motor replacement. From what you described you just need to replace your motor and seal kit and not the entire pool pump.

Thank You

Patrick
