Hi, I have a 20 year old 14,000 gallon inground pool. I'm tired of piecing equipment back together, even though your website makes it incredibly easy. I currently have a Pentair Challanger II pump, 1 1/2 hp, and a PentairTriton II sand filter TR100. I would like to replace both with new equipment, changing to a single cartridge filter. I don't have a robot or any other accessories. Older couple, live in Phoenix, but leave for the summer, only using the pool for about 6 weeks in the spring and 6 weeks in the fall. I'm not tied to Pentair, I would consider anything that you would reccommend. Thanks

Just another question. Would it be worth my while to switch to a variable speed pump? If so what would you recommend? Thanks

Sorry. This one got lost in the shuffle. I'd recommend the following equipment for your pool.

Waterway Champion 1HP Full Rate Energy-Efficient Pump (CHAMPE-110)

Waterway ProClean Plus 200 Single Cartridge Filter (PCCF-200)

**The filter is oversized for your pool, but that is a good thing. It won't need to be opened and cleaned very often.

Waterway Champion 1.0 HP Full Rate EE Pool Pump - CHAMPE-110

Waterway ProClean Plus 200 sqft Pool Cartridge Filter - PCCF-200
