Removed old motor from pump (Challenger PAC-FAB) took off seal plate and mounting plate to expose defuser. Attached channel locks to shaft end and attempted to rotate defuser to remove it. No luck. Even used a pipe wrench which caused a crack in the defuser. How in the world do I get it off?

Hi dama70,
I would check to see if there is an impeller screw threaded into the center of the motor shaft securing the impeller to the shaft of the motor? Could you send us a few photo's, as photo's really help.
