1. What unit is this?
2. Should I replace the whole thing? Is it worth repairing or just buy a new pump?

It appears to be a Sta-Rite Dura-Glas pump. What is the HP?

If you want another single speed pump, we'd recommend the PureLine Prime model PL2603. If you want something more energy-efficient, we'd recommend the PureLine Prime model PL2606. The PL2606 is a 2.7HP variable speed pump.
