I've been struggling with this leak for over a month now and am at my wit's end. Water is leaking out at the pump motor. I had to replace the motor, I've replaced the shaft seal twice plus all the gaskets, and I've replaced the impeller. I guess my next steps are to replace the seal housing and the diffuser. Any other thoughts? Am I missing something obvious here?

Thanks for the response. Just to be clear, you're talking about the seal housing, right? E.g. this: http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352019331.htm

If the shaft seal was installed correctly (no lube), the only other piece that could cause that kind of leak would be the seal plate. The diffuser would not cause a leak between the plate and the motor.

Yes, the water is coming out between the seal plate and the motor. It's a Jacuzzi Magnum pump, model #1UMF-S. Pureline motor, model PL1152.

We'd be glad to assist you. Is it leaking between the seal plate and the motor? What is the make and model of the pump?
