Brand new pump is leaking. Is there something I can do to fix this? Have checked all my fittings and that's not the problem. Pump head rotates a slight amount at the connection point to the motor. I wonder if something isn't tight enough or is this normal?

No the pump should not be leaking. Could you post a few photos of the pump and the leak?
