Pool Pump Question

 Hi,

Currently we have a Hayward Super2 pump with a 1 hp motor. Our saltwater pool is using a cartridge filter. The pump is in bad shape and is glued into the plumbing. Got small leaks everywhere. I replaced the burned out motor last year, with a motor from you guys, but it too has just burned out (shorted windings, checked with multimeter).

I'd like to replace the entire pump and motor assembly. I was hoping for suggestions.

Hello Rod - If you're looking for another single speed pump, we recommend the PureLine Prime model PL2601. A more energy efficient option would be the PureLine Prime model PL2605. The PL2605 is a 1.65HP variable speed pump.

I ended up ordering the PureLine Prime model PL2605 which was delivered yesterday. I plan on installing it this weekend and can report back with how things went.

Can't figure out how to mark this issue resolved.
