Pool pump motor replacement

I have a Purex Trition pump that I want to switch over to a variable speep motor. Will your AO Smith VGreen C-Face Variable Speed Motor | .75 to 2.7 HP 230V | ECM27CU be a good replacement?

My current motor is a 1.5 hp

My pool is a 24,000 gallon capacity.

Need to know if I need to also upgrade impeller and will also need the manual remote kit to allow turning pool on and off from 4 feet away from enclosure.

I believe the Purex Triton is now called the Pentair Whisperflo, but could you post a picture of your complete pump? We want to be sure before we start recommending motors and impellers.
