I have a 21' round pool that needs a new pump. I am 10 feet away from the pump for the return. I have a 16" Hayward s166t filter. I cannot read anything off the old pump but it looks as it is a hayward SP1580z2 model which makes it a 1HP. I plan to run the pump for about 8 hours each day. I have a Kreepy Krawly automatic pool cleaner. What pump size do I need? I am getting conflicting results about a 3/4 or 1 HP motor. I would like to be as energy efficient as possible without spending a ton of money.

I would suggest the Pureline Pure Pro XL 1 HP PL1501 Aboveground Pool Pump, I would suggest the 1 HP as it will give you enough power to run your pool cleaner.
