Pool guy came out to vacuum debris from inside pool. Before he left I noticed I needed to fill pool back to water level. Next  few hours I had water underneath liner. I called pool guy afterwards he said he thinks he switched one of the three pvc lines to open. Told me to close one, but still didn’t work. Liner is still in place but more water is under pool liner after I closed one pvc line.

You might have a "vacuum pipe" installed on the system. This pipe is typically installed on inground vinyl lined pools as a way to drain water from behind the liner. If they can't terminate it at a spot lower than the water level, they'll connect it to a storm drain or the suction side of the pump.

If it's connected to a storm drain, it should have a check valve. Sometimes the check valve fails and allows water to flow back behind the liner.

In your case, it sounds like it's connected to the pump. There should be a valve that controls the flow from the vacuum pipe. You can open that valve while the pump is running. This should suck the water out from behind the liner.

If you continue to have problems, I would call the pool guy and have him come back to the pool.
