I have a Sta-Rite

The entire unit is model P6E6E-206L

The motor is still working but has slowed down in suction power to clean the pool. I estimate the unit to be original on a 1995 home.

Should I just replace the motor before it freezes Model K48L2PA105 ?

or is it best to replace the entire unit?

Thank you

Good morning. So a lack of suction is not always due to the pump or motor. It may be the impeller being clogged, the pump is not getting a full prime for some reason i.e. clogged line, a dirty/old filter element, or even a valve needing to be adjusted. I would recommend inspecting these things before considering replacing any items.
