Pool cleaning

Bought a house with an older pool. It has 4 skimmers (2 for the main 20x40 pool and 2 for the infinity edge pool) all running to one pump.  There is a pump for the Polaris floor cleaner.  (I really miss the pool in my previous home that had the floor cleaning jets).  Is there anyway I can just manually vacuum the pool?  It wouid be a lot faster and do a better job than the Polaris.  But with 4 skimmers there is not enough suction to the vacuum hose

There should be a way to close off 2-3 of the other skimmers so one of them can pull more water. Look for valves before the pump that would control the skimmers. If not, you could plug the other skimmers and force it to pull from the desired skimmer for vacuuming.

I can't find any valves, for the skimmers.

Then you'd want to plug one skimmer at a time until the desired skimmer has enough suction.
