Hello! I recently purchased a new variable-speed Pentair Superflo VS pump to replace my power hungry single speed Hayward Superpump II. Unfortunately, after a lot of research I'm wondering if I will be able to make the set-up work. The current Hayward pump and aquarite swc are connected to an intermatic mechanical timer. Due to the new variable speed pump needing constant power I'm confused at how I can make this set up work.
My thought right now is to follow the guide provided for the installation of the Pentair pump on INYO and move the wires to terminals 1 and 3 so the pump has constant power and the settings can be configured; however, do I still leave the swc connected to the same terminals on the timer? Is there a better way to make all this work together that's cost effective? The quote I recevied from the pool company was twice the cost of the pump!
