I am currently gathering all the parts that I need to DIY assemble an 18-foot round above ground pool for my kids. I want to plumb it with hard PVC 2-inch Schedule 40 pipe to go with the large pump and filter that I purchased. The ONLY thing I am having trouble finding are 2-inch wall intake/return fittings. I can find 1-1/2 inch fittings all day long.

Hayward sells SP1408S2 that says it is for 2" PVC. It was not made for above ground pools, but the pictures look as if I could easily adapt it to fit the pool wall. Another possibility may be the Hayward SP1023S2. I've been to any local pool stores that are open during Covid-19. None of them had the applicable fittings, nor could they suggest something that would work.

If you have experience with 2-inch Sch 40 PVC on an above ground pool, I'd love to hear how you handled the wall intake/return fittings. THANKS!
