Was told by my pool maint. guy that my pump motor was dead and the replacement was a B2855 Y56Y Flange.  OK, I try to save a few bucks and do this myself.  Ordered the pump, it arrived and when installed it does not spin.  I validated good voltage to the terminals.  What I notice is the new motor doesn't have any of the same "stuff" on the back like the original one did - capacitor, rpm limiter stuff...   I need confirmation I have the correct electric motor Here's the info:

The orginal motor that went bad is on a Hayward pump.  It's an A.O. Smith motor.  Part number:  7-196338-24  2.0 HP Y56Y  (Hayward part number SP322021BE)

The new motor I was told by my pool maint. company was the replacement is a B2855, The pump recieved from Inyo is B2855 and Mfr. part number FG56AC14A01

Can we confirm that new motor is or isn't a replacement?  The main difference I see is there is no capacitor or other items on the back of the new motor.  But is sure does't turn when it get's 244v of power.

Your original motor was a 2HP full-rated motor with a total HP rating of 2.6. The motor that you purchased is an uprated 2HP motor with a total HP rating of 2.2. The issue is that the impeller on that pump is too large/heavy for the uprated 2HP motor that you ordered.

The correct replacement motor is model B2843.
