Monster in my pool - The Pool Cleaner 4 Wheel Cleaner

I have the The Pool Cleaner 4 Wheel Cleaner - 896584000-020, and it's great except that it comes up out of the water a lot and makes a sucking growling sound that scares the neighbors. I thought it was an animal at first!

My pool is a kidney shaped pool built in the 60s. 

My pool cleaner says that maybe I need a weight for it. 

Any suggestions?

Thank you for contacting Inyo. There should be a way for you to decrease the amount of suction that the cleaner receives. Check the valves by your pump. Usually, there is a valve that can control the suction from the skimmer, main drain, and dedicated vac line.
