Liner installation

Have a question for you, on my old pool liner the liner slipped into a groove on the cove molding the new liner I'm getting from you says it laps over the side do I put the liner over the edge of the pool first then the cove molding or does the liner set on top of the molding then put the top rail on. I really could use some instructions on how to do this right.

It sounds like your old liner was a beaded liner and you are replacing it with an overlap style. You'll need to remove the bead receiver from the top of the wall. The new liner will overlap the wall and then a coping strip is used to secure the liner. Then the stabilizer is installed over the coping strip and then finally, the top rail.

The picture below shows an overlap liner secured by a coping strip.
