the bucket that the light sits in is corroded and leaking, Do I have to replace it or how can I fix it?

Hello Hopeful - It sounds like you are describing a light niche that has developed some holes. The first thing I would try is a 2-part underwater epoxy. If the epoxy does not seal the leaks, the entire niche may need to be replaced.
