Pools, lakes, ponds, and beaches mean summer fun and cool relief from hot weather. But water also can be dangerous for kids if parents don't take the proper precautions. Kids need constant supervision around water whether the water is in a bathtub, a wading pool, an ornamental fish pond, a swimming pool, a spa, the beach, or a lake. In the case of pools, barriers such as pool fencing should be used to help prevent young children from gaining access to the pool area without caregivers awareness. Prevention is better than cure. Recently, I came across an article on kids and water safety ( http://protectionplus.ca/blog/kids-and-water-safety/ ). It reveals a shocking fact that fatal drowning remains the second-leading cause of unintentional injury-related death for children ages 1 to 14 years. Hence take of your kids to protect them from the accidents in water.
