Yesterday I vacuumed my pool and shocked it after but today I still see algae in the bottom of the pool. What can I do to eliminate those spots? Should I purchase some type of algaecide? Please Help!

You may have any number of things causing the algae to stick around, I had the same issue, had to get my water tested all week, three times and progressively fixed the issue. The test will tell you what is out of sinc.

I agree with Ken. Get the water tested. You'll likely find out that your free chlorine is non-existent. You may be able to get rid of that algae by maintaining a shock level (higher chlorine) for several days. The video below will explain how to do that. The pool in the video is an extreme case, but the same method should get rid of the algae at the bottom of your pool.
