1. I need the part number for a new top cap complete with handle and spring. the current handle has the number SM10-2D.

2. Also need to know the part number for the spider valve gasket and does if havae to be glued down.

3. How do you know that the top valve cover is in the correct position before screwing it down

Thanks for the information! You will need this SM10-2D Top Valve Assembly and you will require this SM10-2D Spider Gasket. This gasket would be glued in, here is a Video on How to Replace a Spider Gasket which shows how to glue in the gasket as well as answer your question about the cover placement.
