Have an issue where the pool heater will turn on after we switch the breaker on- but tgen after 5 seconds, it turns off.  Looking for most likely causes?  Already checked water flow...  thinking maybe it (doesn't know) we're calling for heat, or perhaps water pressure sensor?  No codes can be viewed (because the control panel display is physically broken), so looking for help, and not too much confidence in error code even after the display is replaced.  Looking for experienced expert to tell me "what this is 90% of the time"

It's hard to say for sure but one of the most common reasons for a pool heater to ignite and then shut-off after a few seconds is a bad flame sensor. What is the make and model of your pool heater?

Thank you for replying on this topic. I don't know the brand or model number of the unit- I was able to match the display board by using visual search for a replacement part. After replacing the display panel... the heater started working.  Yes!! So happy.
