I have a 18x33x54" above ground pool, approximately 15000 gallons. I live in Suffolk Co. New York and am looking at the 125k or possibly 140k heat pump. Is there a big difference or a recommendation. Also is there a specfic date when the sale is ending.

Hello Jim,

As a general rule when sizing a heat pump, bigger is better. The larger the unit in BTU's, the faster the heat pump heats the pool and the less time it needs to run. This means to you that the larger unit will provide better energy savings. Is there a BIG difference between the two? There is not a huge difference between 125K and 140K BTU's, but there is a noticeable difference. You may want to view this in the long term scope of heating your pool throughout a years time. When looking at that scale there is a much more noticeable difference from a cost perspective.

We do not have a current date on when the promotion for the heat pump will end. Please let us know if you have any additional questions in helping you make a decision on which heat pump is right for you.
