Hayward system won't recalibrate

I tried to recalibrate my system, but it won't.  It reads 4000, which is about 1000 high....  When I recalibrate, it starts at 4200, and stops at 4000.  It won't go any lower.  This is a new salt cell(aftermarket) I bought last year, and the motherboard was replaced last year as well.  It is generating chlorine, as the chlorine reading is great.  Any help?  Thanks in advance.

I bought the cell and board in early July last year.  The board is a Hayward GLX-PCB-RITE.  The salt cell is a circupool .  I have verified the cell setting is T9 on the system.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dana,

Can you confirm that the replacement salt cell was a T9 or was it a T15. The T15 is the most popular if you did get a T15 replacement then I would suggest changing that setting from T9 to T15.

Also, have you tried these AquaRite Recalibration Steps?

Also here is another Forum Thread on AquaRite Holding Calibration which you may find helpful.

Thank You

The replacement is a T9.  Everything worked fine last season.  I have tried the recalibration steps.  When it starts counting down, it stops at -4000, and doesn't go any further.  Test shows 3100 PPM.  The cell is producing chlorine just fine.  I just can't get it to recalibrate.

Hmm that's a strange one! I would suggest reaching out to Circupool or Hayward directly to see if they can give troubleshooting advice.

Hayward - https://www.hayward-pool.com/shop/en/pools/contact-us-main

I have.  Hayward told me to contact my installer.  Board and cell still under warranty.  Guess I'll have to do that.  Hayward support stinks.
