foam pool cove

I bought the pool cove for a 15 x30 oval above ground pool from your company along with a lot of more pool parts . My question is the cove that I bought cant be used for this pool like I was told,because if you remove all the sand so the bottom rail are exposed to install the cove all the metal plates and flat bar on the pool bottom that support the pool walls are exposed,now if you cover all the support metal with 2 to three inches of sand it will cover the whole cove, I dont belive you can used this foam cove for an oval pool  because of all the pressure plates will be exposed ,and you will not be able to install the liner because of the pressure plates are exposed, I belive the only way you can put in a cove is with sand please advised,correct me if i am doing something wrong ....thanks

Hi Mark, 

You can definitely still use your preformed pool cove. Try to only remove the sand from up against the pool wall, leaving the support metal covered, and install the cove. Then you could try to level the existing sand out to a point just a little below the half way point on the cove. This would leave the top half of the preformed cove exposed.
