FILTER CARTRIDGE STAIN

MY FILTER CARTRIDGE, NORMALLY WHITE IS STAINED YELLOW, PROBABLY POLLEN BUT DOES NOT COME CLEAN WHEN RINSING WITH HOSE EVEN WITH SIGNIFICANT PRESSURE.

IS THERE A SOMETHING I CAN SOAK IT IN OR A SOFT BRISTLE BRUSH i CAN SCRUB IT? nOT REALLY FEASIBLE SINCE IT IS A FILTER CARTRIDGE WITH THE ACCORDIAN TYPE FILTER MEDIA NOT SURE CAN SCRUB IT CLEAN.

ANY IDEAS APPRECIATED.
