My water is crystal clear
I have this greenish color stuff that forms two to three days after I vacumed and schocked
its a dust like substance and vacumes up easely. When I vacume I don't recycle the water into the pool, I send it our via the wast.
Cooper is good, no phosphates.
Pool stote is stumped.

Hello cbragas - It sounds like you are getting mustard algae. Could you post a picture of the pool showing the green substance on the bottom?
I'll grab a pic later in the week, but if it is mustarg algae, what do I have to do?
Cbragas - You'll want to shock the pool and add an algaecide designed to kill mustard algae. We recommend the Eliminator algaecide.Then shock the pool again 24 hours after adding the algaecide.
I'm having the same problem. I use the liquid chlorine to shock and the 3" tablelets in a Hayward inline chlorinator. Water balance is fine. About every 3-4 days I have the green algea growing back in the pool. Pool store told me to add a jug of the liquid every 4 days but that hasn't helped. Also they told me because temp has stayed in the 95-100 degree range that it is eating up the chlorine. I check the level of chlorine each day and keeing it on the high side. don't know what else to do to stop this problem. I have never had this before.
Hello Barry07 - What is the free chlorine level and what is the stabilizer level?
Free chlorine is 5 on the di[ stick next to the darkest purple and the stabilizer is 100 in the ok range. When my pool store checked the water they told me all is good.
Barry07 - An ideal level for the stabilizer would be around 50 ppm. Stabilizer protects free chlorine (FC) from sunlight and lowers the strength of the FC at the same time. The higher the stabilizer level, the more FC you need to get the same effect. Since your level is high at 100 ppm, your free chlorine level needs to be around 12 ppm in order to keep the algae from blooming.
The only way to drop the stabilizer level is to drain some water from the pool and add fresh water.
