I'm having problem with my slowly increasing filter pressure. I'm pretty sure it's just algae but it seems rather cyclical. Within 24 hours of hosing off my filters the pressure slowly increases to around 25 psi from 10 psi.

With the lack of flow it seems like more algae grows.
should I be cleaning out my filter every other day?

backwashing does not seem to remove the green DE material. although it will temporarily decrease the pressure.

thanks

Algae being filtered will indeed affect the pressure of the filter and that is what sounds like is happening. You may also need to perform a filter soak and clean using filter cleaner to both breakdown and remove any oils and or bi-product that may be sticking the cloth material of the filter. If that still does not reduce the pressure in the filter after the algae is all filtered out of the pool then you may need to replace those elements. The item number for out filter cleaner is P86099DE that you can view more details by clicking here
