Correct Pump for Hayward Super Pump and Return Policy

I just purchased the 1 HP Round Flange 56J Up Rate Motor - PL1102 hoping it is the correct pump for my older Hayward SP-1600-D Super pump (1HP).  That is the number that is on the clear basket lid.  It was hard to find any other numbers.  Will that motor work?  My old A.O. Smith replacement pump showed a frame of U56J but I could not find any other pumps with a U.  Just 56J.  Also, if it is not correct, how do I return the motor.

Hello Stan - Yes, the PL1102 would be the correct replacement motor as long as your current motor was an uprated 1HP. An uprated 1HP motor would have a service factor (SF) rating between 1.0-1.1.

The U56J and 56J frame are the same.
