Bad pump motor question

My pump stopped pumping and would only hum. I assumed it was the capacitor so I swapped it out. No such luck. Then I metered out the motor and found an open coil. It’s a pretty old motor/pump setup. It’s an aosmith sq1102 motor with a pacfab pump. Would you recommend replacing the bad motor or just replacing the whole unit with something newer? If something newer would it have to be the same unit or could I replace it with something more efficient? Thanks

If the pump housing is in good shape, we'd recommend replacing the SQ1102 motor.

If you decide to replace the complete pump, we'd recommend a variable speed option. Something like the Pureline Prime model PL2605.
