Hi folks, I bought a house recently. It has a concrete pool in the garden. The pool is damaged with some cracks and has bulging walls. I have already contacted one of the swimming pool contractors for the renovation.
The pool is very cloudy and it has brown deposits in it. I guess it is brown algae and I have heard that algae occur due to the following reasons:
- Mainly occur due to pool cleaning products, the dust brought in by the wind or any contaminated sources.
- Debris or some dissolved substances in the pool account for the food for algae.
- Algae hide in the crevices, rough spots etc and it may lead to future algae blooms to occur.
- Clogging and sanitation issues in the pool allow bacterial organisms to outnumber algae.
What are the preventive measures to be taken for controlling the algae growth in the future?
Please share some useful tips to get rid of them? After the renovation, is there any treatment to be done? Looking forward to your replies... Thanks in advance.
