We live in a town called Discovery Bay. Our water is always very high in pH and realisticly can't be properly balanced. In the recent months I have been noticing a purple tint to the water stain left on our water feature. The water feature is made of cement and fiber glass. The pool water itself is perfectly crystal clear. I have tried to use a metal treatment and its hard to tell if it is working or not. Two questions: (1) how can I remove the purple stain; (2) once I get the stain removed how do I stop it from happening again?

The first thing you will need to do is identify what type of stain you have and you will do this with the Jacks Magic Stain ID Kit once you determine the type of stain then we can prescribe the proper treatment to remove and prevent the stain.
