I currently have Jandy FloPro FHPM1.0 pump with a single speed century motor.  The motor seems to be getting louder and I'm thinking of upgrading to a dual speed or variable speed.  My system has a analog timer and a Jandy AquaPure salt system.  No other digital controllers or programmable features.  Do you recommend upgrading to a dual speed or variable speed?  Can you tell me what motors would replace my existing motor and what other items I would need to purchase with the new motor?  I have added pictures of my pump and motor labels.

Thank you!

We'd recommend a variable speed over the 2-speed. The variable speed is more energy-efficient and it doesn't require a switch like the 2-speed. The correct variable speed replacement motor would be model ECM16SQU.

We also recommend replacing the shaft seal when you replace the motor. The shaft seal is part number 5250-250.
